Shows at Public or Private Events

We hold public events up and down the country to bring the Viking period to life. These range from promotional events for museums and historical festivals to recreations of important historical battles of the time. Here are just some of our favourite shows from recent years.

The Battle of Stamford Bridge . Saxons vs Vikings 25th September 1066. The Battle of Stamford Bridge took place at the village of Stamford Bridge, East Riding of Yorkshire, in England, on 25 September 1066, between an English army under King Harold Godwinson and an invading Norwegian force led by King Harald Hardrada and the English king's brother Tostig Godwinson. After a bloody battle, both Hardrada and Tostig, along with most of the Norwegians, were killed.

Filming

Film and media work is great fun and hard work, but an important part of bringing the Vikings to a wider audience. Extras in the background, fight scenes, even spoken parts, for You Tube, video, theatre, or cinema releases, cameras or live audiences – we enjoy them all. Here are some excerpts from our most recent filming event in 2018.

Private Events

eing a Viking is not all about shows. Sometimes we love to just get together as a group to recreate some of the excitement of Viking life away from the public gaze. Banquets, bonfires, sailing a longship, roleplaying stories from the sagas or fighting in the woods: here are some highlights of recent events we have been involved in, just for us.
