Characters in the Viking age

Each member not only learns how to wield their weapons in a safe manner but also must create a persona for shows. Below you will find out a little more information on characters that our members protray. During this creation process a lot of effort goes in to historical research: location, clothes, names, birth year, profession and much more. Our members are more than happy to share their story. why not ask them!

Trygg Olafson, Halfdan, Warrior and trader

Trygg Olafson, Halfdan. Warrior and trader from the north in far away Danelaw. Master of the sticks and stones (and all things shooty) but equally adept with other weapons. Often seen with his best friend Mr Ticklestick, the two handed spear, when he doesn’t have a bow to hand. As Trygg has been heard to say ‘A trader needs to be as good with a sword and spear as well as with cutting a deal. You need to protect your goods and money after all. But if whoever you are dealing with is daft enough to turn their backs then you have the chance to take their goods and money as well. Generous to friend and foe alike, with a friend he will be found sharing food, mead & ale with a foe he is quite happy introduce them to a length of steel and six feet of good earth. (Apparently he believes it helps make the crops grow better so he feels he is doing the world a favour)
